Pat Murray, the creator and the teacher in Mathematics.com.au, has a comprehensive background in maths teaching with over 18 years of experience teaching in both private and non-private schools in NSW. He also founded a number of maths tuition centres in Sydney where the outstanding results of his students using the program attracted national media attention.
Pat understands the minds of children more than most of us (he has nine of his own ranging from 2 months to seventeen years) and this, combined with his concern for students who were having trouble coping with maths in a crowded classroom, led him to form an exceptional team of professionals to develop a multimedia-based teaching program.
Pat delivers all the tutorials and worked examples in the program and many students credit their success to his clear and concise teaching and open approach.
Stephen Murray is the driving force behind the software development for Mathematics.com.au. A software developer since 1996, Stephen's passion is making software that children actually want to use, and in a format that kids love - the web.
Stephen has added numerous improved features to this already critically acclaimed program for the online version of the software and some of his work, particularly in the streaming of the tutorials, is industry leading.
In the late 1990's, the program ran very successfully in a numbers of maths teaching centres in Australia and subsequently the software was produced in CD-ROM format.
Following years of outstanding results achieved by students using the CD-ROM software, both in Australia and overseas, the NEW Internet Subscription service was launched in January 2006.
